Select Kashi cereal was on sale this week at Target (ended today 5/22/10) for $2.88 each. And when you bought 5, you got a $5 gift card. This is how I worked this deal:

  • Bought 5 of the Heart-to-Heart Warm Cinnamon cereal @ $2.88ea (have been looking all over for this kind!)
  • Used 3 $1.50/1 that I received in the mail from a Vocalpoint* sample
  • Used 1 $1/1 coupon from a Kashi product I had previously bought.
  • Used 1 FREE product coupon that I received in the mail from a Vocalpoint* sample
  • TOTAL $6.02 + tax, plus $5 gift card received back.  Net paid: $1.02 + tax or around $0.21 a box! Awesome price for a cereal that is normally $4/box.

Band-Aid kids band-aids $1.64/box.

  • Used $0.50/1 coupon from 4/25 SS
  • AND used $0.75/1 Band-aid kids bandages Target printable (no longer available to print)
  • Total OOP: $0.39+tax!

Rayovac batteries $1 (in the dollar spot)

  • Used $1/2 coupon from 3/21 SS (expired 5/21/10 – I bought these 5/19/10).
  • Total OOP: $0.50 each + tax

Schick Hydro 3 Razor $6.99

  • Used $5/1 coupon from 5/9 SS
  • AND used $1/1 Schick Hydro razor Target printable (no longer available)
  • Total OOP: $0.99 + tax

Seventh Generation hand dish soap $2.69

Seventh Generation antibacterial wipes $2.99

Moral of the story: Print the Target coupons when you see them. They disappear from the website fast!

*Vocalpoint is a website where you can sign up to receive samples in the mail.  The samples, such as in this case, usually include high value coupons for the products.
