There are several basic questions you should find out the answers to to help you get the most for your money when shopping at any store.

Step 1: Do they have a frequent shopper card?

No.

Step 2: Do they participate in any catalina programs?

Kinda. You do receive coupons at the register for $X off specific products, but never $X OYNO ones.  However, they DO have a program advertised often in their weekly ad where you buy X of a certain product and get $X on a Target gift card.  Obviously, the same concept.

Step 3: Do they have an official coupon policy?

Yes. Click here for their official policy. It would be a good idea to print this and carry it with you, in the event that a store employee is not as familiar with it.

Step 4: Do they offer an organic store brand?

Yes. Target’s SuperTarget grocery stores actually carry quite a few organic products.  However, the Archer Farms brand is their organic store brand.

Step 5: What is their weekly ad cycle?

Target’s weekly ad is valid Sunday-Saturday.  It does not include coupons, but will advertise the “$X gift card back” deals.

Step 6: Do they have any internal publications that offer savings?

You can sign up to receive coupons in the mail.  Coupons are also available to print on their website.  These can be combined with manufacturer coupons and change often!  If you even THINK you may want something, print it now.    Also, around Christmastime, they usually publish a ToyBook that includes coupons for toys and children’s items.

Step 7: Anything else I should know?

Target also gives a $0.05 discount from your total for each reusable bag you use for your transaction.
